PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED TRAVELERS

The attractions and accommodations in this guide are self-rated according to the services they provide for visitors with special needs. Ratings are based on the individual facilities having barrier-free access with designated handicapped parking spaces, all switches and emergency devices at wheelchair level, and doors and bathrooms that meet accessibility requirements detailed in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Bus Service

The MTA operates 70 Local, Express and Commuter bus lines throughout Central and Southern Maryland. Basic fares are $1.60 one-way ($2 for Express one-way) or a $3.50 Day Pass for unlimited daily trips on MTA Local Buses, Light Rail and Metro Subway.
