The ESS Board of Directors and the Nominating Committee are making a call for nominations for the election of Board Members and Officers prior to the 2021 Symposium. Additional nominations will be requested during the general business meeting held virtually during the Symposium. The Board plays a key role by managing the affairs, funds, and property of the Society, planning Symposiums, communicating with members, and ensuring the society’s objectives are best served.
The Board of Directors consists of ten members, six directors from the Professional and Corporate Membership, the Past President, and all duly elected officers. Two Board members are elected every two years to serve a six-year term. The Executive positions include President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer and each serves a two-year term. Please send nominations by Monday, April 5, 2021, to Karen Davison (KEDavison@landolakes.com), chair of the Nominating Committee, for the following positions:
- Board Members (two will be elected)
- Secretary/Treasurer
- Vice President
- President
Please include the member’s name, the position being nominated for, and contact information. The Nominating Committee will confirm the nominated member’s willingness to serve and will request additional information (e.g. brief bio, participation in ESS, vision for the future or ESS, and photo) from the nominee that will be shared with ESS voting members closer to the virtual general business meeting.
