Wilson College has an immediate opening for a full-time, Equestrian Center Coordinator/Instructor. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team supporting both the academic and co-curricular missions of our Equine and Animal Studies Division. This is one of two positions being added to a growing program. The Equestrian Center Coordinator/Instructor will report to the Director of Equine Studies. Key responsibilities will include overseeing maintenance of facilities, and care of up to 70 horses. This person also works closely with the Director of Equine Studies and the IHSA teams to coordinate horse usage. Additionally, the successful candidate will instruct two ground training/management courses per semester and participate in academic department activities, including assessment and curriculum development. Established in 1869, Wilson College’s 300-acre campus, with an on-campus equestrian center that includes two indoor arenas, one outdoor area and three barns, is located in the beautiful Cumberland Valley of south-central PA and is within easy driving distance to Baltimore and Washington, DC. More information is available at www.wilson.edu. Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred) and demonstrated successful collegiate Hunt Seat coaching, recruiting, and riding experience.
