DRIVING:

There is construction scheduled for next week that will impact access to the Hilton (because, of course). Prospect Road (where the Hilton is located) will be closed to all but local traffic. Below are two alternative route suggestions with written directions.

Getting To the Fort Collins Hilton by Car - An Update

The Fort Collins Hilton is located at 425 W Prospect Road. West Prospect Road will be closed to all but local traffic between College Avenue and Shields Street from Tuesday, June 3rd, to Thursday, June 5th. This will impact access to the Hilton.

Below are two alternative routes that can be used to access the Fort Collins Hilton by car.

If coming from the South of Campus (driving North on College Avenue or West on Drake Road):

1. At the College Avenue and Drake Road intersection, turn west onto Drake Road.
2. Make a right-hand turn (north) onto Research Boulevard from West Drake Road (past the CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital).
3. Research Boulevard will end at a three-way stop. Make a right-hand turn (north) onto Centre Avenue.
4. The Fort Collins Hilton will be on the right, just before Prospect Road. Make a right-hand turn into the hotel's parking lot.

If coming from the North of Campus (Driving South on College Avenue or West on Prospect Road)

1. From West Prospect Road at the College Avenue intersection, make a right-hand turn (north) onto College Avenue. You will want to move into the left-most lane of the three immediately.
2. From College Avenue, make a left-hand turn (west) onto Lake Street. If traveling south on College Avenue, you will make a right-hand turn (still west) onto Lake Street.
3. Lake Street will come to a three-way stop (and you will cross the train tracks). Make a left-hand turn (south) onto Centre Avenue.
4. Cross over Prospect Road and make a left-hand turn into the hotel's parking lot.

It has come to our attention that some days of the Hilton hotel room block have been filled.  You have two options.  If you would like to book at the regular rate through Expedia or simular site there may be some availabiity.  Or there is an alternative conference hotel. The Best Western University Inn is located immediately adjacent to CSU on the east side of the campus (the Hilton is on the south side). It is a 19-minute walk (0.8 miles) between this hotel and the Hilton. It is approximately a 4-minute drive by car, although parking would incur an additional cost.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hilton Fort Collins for the Equine Science Society Symposium with a Monday, June 2, 2025, arrival. Attendees will be able to book in the block at the discounted group rate of $169.00 per room, per night for a standard room with one king or two double beds. This block also has discounted parking of $5 per vehicle, per day. The discounted rate, room block, and parking will be available until Friday, May 9, 2025, or until it is sold out, whichever happens first.

Getting to Fort Collins from Denver International Airport (DIA): 

Airport Shuttles

Landline Shuttle – transport from DIA to Fort Collins and Loveland (Uber/Lyft/Taxi to hotel). Prices $32-$35 per person

Groome Shuttle – Transport from DIA to Fort Collins. Can request drop at Fort Collins Hilton or CSU. Prices for Hotel Service $53-$58 dollars. Fort Collins/CSU Transit Centers = $32.

Estimate for Uber/Lyft from DIA to Fort Collins = $200-$300 depending on time of day

NOTE: If flying United, you can set Fort Collins/Loveland Regional Airport (FNL) as the destination (must book through United.com). They have a wingless connection (bus) from DIA to FNL. If you take that option, they handle getting your luggage to the bus! 

An Uber or Lift from FNL airport to the Hilton is ~$20-$35, depending on the time of day.
